1. What is Axe Throwing?
Axe Throwing is a fun sport where participants throw steel axes at a targets to try and receive the highest score.
2. Is it safe?
Axe throwing is similar to other target sports, as long as you are participating properly, following instructions and using common sense then everything will be fine.
Each booking begins with an axe throwing demostration and a safety briefing to ensure all participants are equipped to throw safely.
3. Are food and drinks available?
We have a number of drinks and snacks available for purchase. Customers are able to bring their own catering, but please let us know in advance (please see FAQ #5).
4. Alcohol?
Unfortunately, we are not a licenced venue so no alcohol is permitted on the premises. All participants must not have consumed any drugs or alcohol before participating.
5. Do you do catering?
At the moment, we do not have any catering options. Customers are welcome to arrange their own catering. A cleaning fee of $10 per lane will be applied to all bookings using catering. Please notify us if you intend on bringing in food.
6. Is Axe Throwing hard?
Anyone can throw an axe! It takes practice to get good at it but that’s what we’re here for. We welcome and encourage players of all skill levels. If you think you’re pretty good, why not try playing in our axe throwing league!
7. What if I’m late?
At Axxe we run on a strict time schedule. All sessions have an alotted time. If you are late to your booking it may mean a loss of axe throwing time.
As soon as you are aware that you will be late, please try to notify us. We recommend Facebook as the fastest way to get in contact with us.
8. How do I book?
Follow the ‘Book Now’ links and select the activity, then select a date, the available times will be displayed. We require a $110 deposit for most bookings (some are paid fully in advance). If you have successfully booked, you will receive a confirmation email with the booking details.
9. What if people don’t show up on the day?
We understand it can be difficult to organise people for group events. As long as you have the minimum number of players for the activity, usually 2 people, you will only be charged for the number that show on the day.
If the number of players causes the booking to move to a different category of booking, for example if you booked for 11 but only 7 show, then your booking duration will be shifted to match the appropriate group size.
For larger groups where you have booked multiple lanes, other minimum costs will apply.
10. What do I need to wear?
All participants MUST wear closed shoes! No open toed shoes! If you arrive with open toe shoes you will not be allowed to participate. If you are booking on behalf of a group, please inform the group of this rule or you may become pretty unpopular amongst your friends.
Other than that, whatever you feel comfortable in. We recommend something that allows you to easily reach your arms above your head.

We will allow a limited number of spectators per session. However, if you decide to participate you will be charged accordingly.
