Q: What is the Axxe Seasonal?

A: Axxe Seasonal is our premiere event, held four times a year, once in each season. It's the perfect opportunity for individuals looking for a competitive edge in their axe throwing experience without the commitment required by a weekly league. Ideal for both seasoned throwers and newcomers seeking to test their skills, Axxe Seasonals are your chance to join a community of like-minded enthusiasts and compete in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Q. Who is it aimed at?

A: Anyone and everyone (14+) that is keen for axe throwing and to be part of a great social circle.

Q: How does Axxe Seasonal work?

A: Axxe Seasonal is, as the name suggests, a seasonal event that runs once each season. discount-priced axe throwing at $40 per person ($35 for early bird sign ups). It’s the perfect opportunity for some friendly competition.

Q: Do I need to commit to every season?

A: Not at all! Each event is a stand alone competition. So come give it a try, and if you have fun you might want to consider joining our weekly league or becoming a monthly regular!

Q: Is it suitable for beginners?

A: While Axxe Seasonal is open to all skill levels, it’s not recommended for first-time axe throwers (this is because the same level of coaching isn't provided at Axxe Seasonal, although there will be staff available to give tips on the night). We suggest having at least one session before playing, whether in a public, private, or combo session at Axxe, as the same level of coaching available in normal sessions is not provided during this event.

Q: How do I register?

A: Registration is required online, via the Axxe website, at least 24 hours before the event starts. Unfortunately, walk-ins may not be accommodated to ensure a quality experience for all participants. Click the 'Book Now' bottom and follow the prompt to the correct Axxe Seasonal session you want to book for.

Q: Can I use promotions or discounts for Axxe Seasonal?

A: No promotions or discounts apply to Axxe Seasonal. However, gift vouchers are accepted.

Q: What about equipment?

A: All necessary equipment is provided by Axxe. Our priority is your safety and enjoyment, so personal equipment is not allowed.

Q: Are there any age restrictions?

A: Yes, this event is open to everyone aged 14 and over. Players under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q: What if I'm late or can't make it?

A: Late arrivals will miss out on scores for each match they're late to/miss, with no make-up matches. If you give us 48 hours' notice, we can reschedule your registration to a future seasonal, but sorry, no refunds.

Q: What happens on the night?

A: Every Seasonal evening kicks off with a warm-up session from 6:45 pm to 7:00 pm, where players can get into the groove with some practice throws. After warming up, we dive into the night's scheduled matches. Each participant will play 4 games against others, with the scores from these games tallied to determine your final score. The top few players will compete in a final to determine the Seasonal Champion. It's a fantastic way to measure your progress, challenge yourself, and enjoy the company of fellow axe-throwing enthusiasts.

Q: Are my scores kept on file?

A: Yes, we’re excited to announce that we've recently transitioned to a digital scoring system! This innovation allows us to track every throw, offering you the ability to access a comprehensive record of all your throws. Not only does this help in measuring your improvement over time, but it also adds an extra layer of excitement to your axe-throwing journey. Our player stats website is currently under development, but rest assured, we’ll notify you as soon as it’s ready to go live. Stay tuned!

Q: Do you have food or drinks available?

A: While we do offer a variety of soft drinks and snacks for purchase on-site to keep you energized and hydrated, we understand that you might crave something a bit more substantial. You’re more than welcome to bring in your own food. All we ask is that you consider fellow throwers by ensuring your food isn’t too pungent and is easy to manage without making a mess. This way, everyone can enjoy their experience to the fullest!
