How it works

How a Team Session Runs

  1. Book your session

    Book your team online by choosing your group size, date and time. Need something a little different? Get in touch and we'll help you organise it.

  2. Arrive & learn

    Arrive a little early to get everyone ready. We'll run through the safety briefing, demonstrate how to throw and give everyone some practice. No experience needed!

  3. Play your way

    Spread out across your private lanes and choose how to compete. Run a tournament, challenge each other in our interactive minigames or mix things up with a bit of both.

  4. Crown your champion

    Keep the competition going, switch between game modes or finish with a showdown between your top throwers. The bragging rights are up to you.

Smaller groups pay per person. Groups of 20 or more get a fixed price package: a two hour session in your own private lanes, with up to 12 people per lane.

How long is a session?

A standard axe-throwing session runs for 60 minutes, with extra time included for larger groups. Sessions run for 80 minutes with 7–9 players and 100 minutes with 10–12 players. We also offer two hour packages for larger groups.

Your session includes a safety briefing, introductory coaching and unlimited throws during your booked time.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all! Most of our visitors are first-time throwers. Every session begins with a safety briefing, throwing demonstration and guided practice to help you get started. Axe throwing is more about technique than strength, and our interactive games give everyone a chance to compete.

Is axe throwing safe?
Safety is our priority. Every session starts with a safety briefing, throwing demonstration and practice with one of our trained coaches. Our private lanes are separated from one another, and all participants must follow our safety rules and staff instructions throughout their session.

How many people can you accommodate?
Axxe can host groups of up to 72 people across 6 private lanes, with up to 12 throwers per lane. Our lanes are side by side, so larger groups can still mingle, chat and cheer each other on throughout their session.

Do you offer special pricing for large groups and events?

Absolutely! We offer fixed-price group packages for larger bookings, starting from $1,050 for up to 24 people. Packages include two hours of axe throwing, with pricing as low as $1050.00 per person when fully booked.

Our packages are great for team building, Christmas parties, birthdays, bucks and hens parties.

What if we're not sure of final numbers?

No problem! Small changes are usually fine, but if your numbers change significantly, please contact us as soon as possible.

For multi-lane bookings, a minimum of six people per lane generally applies. Our large-group packages have fixed prices, so the amount payable doesn't automatically decrease if fewer people attend.

If you need to add or remove lanes, we'll do our best to adjust your booking, subject to availability and booking conditions. Additional fees may apply.

Can you provide a risk assessment, insurance or an invoice?
Yes! We can provide risk assessments, insurance documentation and invoices for corporate events and group bookings. Just get in touch with your requirements and we'll help you out.
